Welcome to the Web 2.0 blog!
The term Web 2.0 is associated with websites that facilitate participatory information sharing, user-centered design, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. A Web 2.0 site allows users to interact with the site and other contributors to the site, in a social media dialogue as creators of user-generated content in a virtual community. In Web 1.0, websites limited users to passively viewing content that was created for them. Examples of Web 2.0 websites include forums, blogs, wikis, social networking sites, and video sharing sites.
